This place suits me perfectly with its cozy bar, good restaurant, and friendly staff. On my first stay, they even helped me find car services. I’m coming back for Christmas!

huge picture window, fabulous harbour view, local brewery beers
It’s frustrating when meals aren’t available on Mondays and Tuesdays!!! The chaotic dining scene with local dogs in the bar area certainly detracts from a more upscale experience!!!

We had an incredible time in a spacious room with stunning sea views! The food was outstanding, especially the scallops and venison. Plus, the craft beers added a fun touch to our meals. Would definitely return!

Lovely views & great breakfast
The room had amazing views of the harbor, super relaxing! Breakfast was a highlight, totally the best I've had at any hotel. Staff were really friendly and helpful, from bar to reception. Just wish the non-seafood dishes were better. my chicken curry wasn’t great. Still, the Cullen Skink starter was fab!

It was just a proper fit for a holiday in Isle of Whithorn with good value for cost. The bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed the scenic view across the harbour. Make sure to confirm your dinner reservation to avoid any hiccups.

Idyllic views and fantastic food
We had an amazing stay with a king room that offered stunning views of the harbour, making it a perfect spot to relax. The food was simply delightful, with highlights being the locally sourced ingredients and a breakfast that was one of the best I've had. The friendly staff made our experience even better, but some of the room decor felt a bit dated and could use refreshing.

Fantastic food and drinks
We were on a mini holiday and stumbled on this place after a long drive. Food was delish, and the local beers were a hit! Super family-friendly—they even treated our toddler and pup like royalty. Only bummer was the wait for the food was a bit long but it was worth it. Can't wait to come back!

A splendid experience marked by welcoming staff and impressive locally sourced cuisine, particularly the fresh seafood. The room offered a stunning view of the harbour, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. All amenities were impeccably clean and spacious, contributing to a restful stay. the noise from the waterfront could sometimes be noticeable, and a few more parking spaces would have been appreciated.

I had a lovely stay at The Steam Packet. The location right on the water is stunning. My room had a beautiful view of the harbour, which I enjoyed from the window seat. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, probably the best I’ve had during my travels. Everything was freshly cooked, and it really set my day off right. I did experience some hiccups during dinner. Service was quite slow on my first night, and I had to wait too long for someone to take my order. My dish wasn't cooked properly. Thankfully, the staff addressed my concerns and provided a satisfactory replacement. I wish they had a bit more consistency in their evening dining. I would definitely return for the amazing breakfast and the beautiful location. I just hope they can improve their dinner service.
